7 Months
Well, by this point it's 7 1/2 months, but it's been another busy month of growing...
She's loving her high chair and all that comes with it... the food, the sippy cups, the Mum Mums, the attentive dog and keeping an eye on things from her new perch while Mommy busies around in the kitchen. We also pulled the jumparoo out of our storage closet (the thing is massive) and she goes to town bouncing up and down.
Nowadays it's rare for her to fall asleep on me, but oh, I love it when she does!
Beauty parlor with Aunt Kate led to our first real ponytail!
Can you believe it?! Apparently, the above photo is the first one where she actually looks like one of my baby photos...hard to tell up to this point because I was a baldy until I was like 3.
And how she loves her toys... chewing them, banging them on the tray, throwing them across the room.
We just can't get enough of her!
And neither can Maddie, who seems to always be wherever Meredith is.
Other firsts of the month include teeth! Not just 1, but 2 new bottom teeth. Also, her first illness and boy, was it a double whammy! Pinkeye in both eyes and double ear infections to boot! She finished her round of antibiotics only to start running an unexplained fever that turned to a rash that we finally discovered was Roseola virus, and another ear infection. Poor baby girl has had it rough the past couple of weeks, but finally seemed to be back to her cheerful self today. *sigh of relief*

Easter Sunday 2012
Easter Sunday dawned bright and glorious this year! We attended a beautiful church service where the Good News was preached and we worshiped our Risen Savior among bagpipes and trumpets. It was stirring and wonderful. We sang this chorus, "Lift high the cross, the love of Christ proclaim, till all the world adore his sacred name." I pray that would always echo in our hearts.
Easter Festivities
The Easter season was full of activities for us this year. First among them was Eggstravaganza, an event held at our church. We filled gift bags for underprivileged children at a local elementary school and then enjoyed crafts, games, and story time.
Last but not least was an egg hunt, which Will really got into this year.
And of course, the annual dyeing of eggs took place the night before Easter. Will proclaimed that we used "all the colors of the world" for our "bootiful eggs!"
And the Easter bunny once again left behind his footprints and a bit of his carrots along with some fun-filled Easter baskets. Baby girl was pretty happy to celebrate her first Easter... notice the feet of her jammies. *wink*
