Dana & Isaac Visit
Aaron's sister, Dana, and our nephew, Isaac, came to North Carolina for a visit in March. We were excited to have them and Gigi to our place for a few days. Will loved spending time with his cousin!
We made the most of the beautiful weather and enjoyed some quality time at our neighborhood park.

Aaron was able to take a day off and we took a tour of the base. The boys loved seeing the static display airplanes up close.

Crud Champs!
I finally learned how to play crud! I'm not totally sure where it originated, but it's been a popular game in the Air Force for ages. Once a year the wives get in on the fun and play a tournament between squadrons.
It's played on what looks like a pool table, but is larger and only has four corner pockets. Using the white ball to shoot a red ball, the object is to keep the red ball moving or sink it into one of the pockets. Pretty simple concept, but also pretty physical and I ended up with lots of bruises. But it was also fun, especially because we kept winning. We ended up winning the tournament and bringing home the trophy for the Rockets.
Here's a little peek into the action. Go Rockettes!
6 Months
Our baby girl is already 6 months old. Still growing way too fast, but such a delight in every way!
The bathing beauty loves being in the water, and makes the prettiest little flower when we dry her off.
MARCHin' Right Along
Well, March came and went and I did a terrible job updating this here blog. But, if I have any readers left, this is what we've been up to. Just before the beginning of the month, Meredith and I met up with Sandee and several other college friends to celebrate her 30th birthday.
We had a fun afternoon at the Ava Gardner museum and Hinnant-Edgerton Vineyard, celebrating our fun friend.
March was full of night-flying and schoolwork for Aaron, so the kids and I have had quite a bit of quality time lately.
We took a few pictures with Daddy on one of the rare evenings when he made it home before bedtime.
They sure do love him. I'm pretty partial to him myself.
March also meant the beginning of serious yardwork. Mowing season began with the cutting of weeds. Will was up and ready with his own lawnmower to help Daddy out.
Thankfully it was brought to an early end when it was jokingly shaved into a Hitler-stache by his squadron-mates the night of his naming. That's right his new and official call sign is Blitz. Apparently, his German heritage and last name provided quite a bit of fodder for the event.
And those are a few highlights from March!
