Puff the Penguin

Well, he looks cute and unassuming, but don't be fooled! Puff the Penguin has wreaked havoc in our household. At the beginning of February, I took Will to the doctor because he was congested and running a fever. He prescribed an antihistimine which seemed to help a little bit, but then he developed a cough which seemed to get better and then worse. By the time my Mom got to town it was starting to bother him while he was sleeping, so we headed back to the doctor, and this little creature is what we brought home. He's a nebulizer, with what I might add is a very LOUD motor. We were to administer breathing treatments every 4 hours for the next week. Sounds good in theory, but trying to put and keep a mask on a squirming toddler was pretty tortorous for all involved, especially when he startled every time the motor cranked. I'm so thankful my Mom was here, because I'm not sure I could have done it with just two hands! Also, I will admit Puff held up his end of the bargain. Will's cough is gone and he's a happy little camper. Here he is giving Puff a taste of his own medicine.
