Pink Birdie Baby Shower

Today I co-hosted a baby shower for one of my lovely Bible Study ladies, Kristi. She's expecting her little girl, Sara Kate to arrive in just a few weeks. Kristi's an Interior Designer and we loved her nursery decor, so we decided it would be the perfect shower theme... hot pink, teal, and baby birds! Here is the beautiful invitation.

Table setting. The favors were little pink egg-shaped soaps sitting in their little nests.

A blessing for mom and baby. Kristi chose her baby girl's name to honor her dear Air Force friend, Sara who lost her battle with cancer just days after giving birth to her daughter. Her family's story of faith is really amazing.

The spread. Chicken salad and cucumber tea sandwiches. Fruit tray, cheese tray, broccoli salad...

And of course, cookies to match the invitations! A big thanks to Amanda for baking the cookies and helping me decorate them!
The cute mommy-to-be.
How big is that belly? Really, not very big at all... but it was a fun game to play.
Adorable game prizes made by my co-host Ashley.
And the whole group of lovely ladies. What a sweet afternoon!

wow, y'all all coordinate perfectly.

Oh where to begin? The sugar cookies? Oh my stinkin' goodness . . . they look beyond professional.

Every detail, down to the little ribbons on the napkins was perfect. I really liked the soap party favors! Great idea. The invites--Oh my! LOVED IT ALL.

What are you going to do when Amanda leaves?? So sad!

Kristi looks adorable.

Oh my goodness. I just read a whole bunch of Sara's story and have been crying my eyes out ever since. Gosh, what tragedy.

But, your shower was beautiful - I expect nothing less from you, Paige. :-)

You are a phenomenal host!
I just spent the last 15 minutes or so reading the Sullivans' blog (as in Sara, who this baby girl will be named after) and sobbing. Being pregnant now, their story hits home to me. Wow. God is faithful.
