Hooray! We closed on our house back on August 15th. Just a week before the earthquake, and two weeks before Hurricane Irene rolled through! Thankfully, we only lost one cedar tree that we wanted to cut down anyway, and the rest of our mess was just lots of minor limbs and branches.
Besides those scares, we are thrilled to finally call the place our own. It's a relief to avoid having to move our household goods and to be out from underneath our crazy landlady's thumb. Here's to our new Home Sweet Home!
