Friends, Fun, & Fireworks
Our dear friends from the year of pilot training, Scott & Kristie, came to visit us for the Fourth! They drove in from San Antonio where Scott is at P.I.T. (pilot instructor training) before relocating to Laughlin, AFB for the next three years. It was so great to see them and Will had the best time playing with their dogs, Buster & Gizmo. The weekend was full of activities and of course, went by way too fast!
Sunday, we were all decked out in our red, white, and blue!
We decided to do our cookout on Saturday night, since we were planning on seeing the fireworks in Starkville on Sunday evening. We cooked ribs, baked beans, broccoli salad, and cornbread, and made patriotic cupcakes for dessert!

After church on Sunday, we headed over to Starkville to Scott's aunt and uncle's place. We enjoyed a dip in their lovely pool with a delightful afternoon snack of homemade peach ice cream. Yum! Will loved all of the floats, and is feeling more and more comfortable in the big kids pool.

I nearly cried wishing we had been there! I told Joshua the other day, "I wonder what Paige has in her candy bowl!" So sad, we miss you all! But I'm glad you had good friends to spend it with.
Oh and I totally expected Aaron to introduce himself as the narator for the evenings events on the video!
