I feel compelled to mention that picking out our own tree was not quite so charming. We went to Lowes and found the perfect tree just as they were closing, so we set it aside to pick up the next morning. But when Aaron returned (alone) the tree was gone and he was left to his own tree-picking-out devices. Hmm. He found one for $10 cheaper, but let's just say, we'll be having a Charlie Brown kinda Christmas around here.

O Christmas Tree
The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went with my parents and Kate to help them pick out their trees. For as long as I can remember my family has visited the Wagoner tree stand, which harvests trees from their land in the NC mountains. Ahh, the fresh scent of pine and the taste of peppermint (every customer gets a mini-candycane)! I do love a real tree! Will loves saying "Ho! Ho! Ho!" whenever he sees Santa in books, signs, or on TV. So, you can only imagine the big greeting this man-in-the-red-suit got!
Helping Aunt Kate pick out her first tree for her new house!
I think we've found it!

Too funny about your tree! Sounds like something that would happen to us.
