333rd Ice Cream Social

I volunteered to host the squadron spouse social for the month of July. I decided to go with a patriotic ice cream theme...
The week of the event, marked the beginning of our days over 100 degrees! So needless to say, I'm glad ice cream did not require me to slave over a hot stove. The toppings bar was on our back porch,

while the ice cream stayed nice and cool indoors. Add a brownie or create a banana split... your choice!

Mom not only let me raid some of her red, white, and blue decor, but also some of her dishes. Even just serving up one flavor (vanilla), the choices were endless... fruit parfaits, hot fudge sundaes, root beer floats, etc.!

And last but not not least, we definitely needed a little something to quench our thirst.

The only problem (if you can call it a problem) has been what to do with all of the leftovers! It's okay to eat ice cream every day for a month, right?!
