About the only thing pretty around our house this week was outdoors! By the way, I'm loving this tulip tree in our backyard. All three of us were sick... at the same time!!! Usually it happens as a progression, one after the other, separated by a day or two at least... but that was not the case this week. Will woke up Sunday morning with a runny nose and sad, watery eyes and just wanted to cuddle for most of the day, while I started to feel a little less peppy myself.
By Sunday evening my mom had arrived, as we had planned for her to watch Will while I went to the doctor for a thyroid ultrasound (more on that later) and to spend a couple of days together sewing and crafting. By the time I left my appointment on Monday morning I had a wretched sore throat and Aaron couldn't stop blowing his nose at work. Tuesday and Wednesday found both of us on the couch using up dreadful amounts of Kleenex, coughing, running a fever, and oh yes, morning sickness reared it's head so that I couldn't keep anything down. But, oh what a Godsend it is to have your mom when you are sick! She tended to our every need, entertained Will (who thankfully felt better faster than his parents), washed our laundry, fetched our groceries and meds, and even served us drinks with a straw. We now call her "Flo," for she was truly our Florence Nightingale and we would have been supremely miserable without her.
Thankfully, we're doing much better now, and can't wait to get outside and enjoy some beautiful blooms and sunshine!

I'm so glad you all are feeling better!
I can't wait to come over and see your beautiful landscaping either.
I want to hear about your thyroid this week at book club. Hope everything is OK.
