Air Show: Day 2

Sunday dawned sunny, clear, and warm with a gentle breeze. A perfect air show day. We arrived just in time for the aerial events, beginning with the Golden Knights' parachute team.
We found a primo spot on the ramp, close enough to a speaker to enjoy the narration and get a great view of the action. Will was a trooper throughout the day, and was so excited when Mimi purchased him a collection of model airplanes to play with. He wouldn't let them out of his grip the entire rest of the day.

It was great to enjoy the show with our family, including Mom & Dad, Grandma & Pappy, Aunt Jana, and my cousin Matt and his sweet girlfriend Casey who drove in all the way from Charlotte just to join us for the day.
Sadly, Kate missed the fun and spent the day camped out at our house with a stomach bug... I'm sure at least Maddie appreciated the company.

Aaron enjoyed showing everyone the Strike Eagle. It still seems so big compared to that T-38!

The Thunderbirds closed the show with another amazing performance. One of the five was grounded due to mechanical issues, but the four-ship performance was just as impressive! It never fails to leave you proud to be an American!

I was a little disappointed by the video. Where is the narrator announcing himself? Aaron is really slacking!

Aaron was busy holding Will, so I took the liberty of taking the video myself... "silent film" style. I could always post the space shuttle video, if you're dying to hear his voice. ;)

No no, thanks though! I think if you'd like continued access to the blog you might want to keep that video locked away!
