The Big 3-0 and the Greensboro Grasshoppers

Unexpectedly, two weeks before Aaron deployed he was sent on a TDY for 10 days.  AND he had to leave on my birthday. boo!  So, I decided to take the kids and hop on over to Greensboro to celebrate with my parents and sister at a Greensboro Grasshoppers game.
Will was soooo excited!  And we were dying laughing when we arrived because he was very concerned that this ball was too big for his glove.  A glove which come to find out doesn't really work for him, as we're now about 95% sure he's a lefty!

We indulged in peanuts and crackerjack... well, hotdogs and nachos.  And our 7th inning stretch lasted a couple of innings over at the playground, but everyone was happy.
And a spectacular fireworks display closed out the evening.  Definitely an awesome birthday treat.  Did I mention I turned 30!  Gasp!  Am I the only one that still feels like I'm pretending to be a grown-up?! I keep waiting for that feeling to go away.
And since it was late and the little ones were fast asleep...
We had birthday cake the next day...

With so many candles, I was glad to have a special blowing assistant!
