We absolutely love our screen porch, but hadn't been able to use it to it's full potential until my Dad made this awesome table for us. It's a huge old cedar door from my grandfather's office (an old house) and it weighs a ton. It's kind of sentimental to me because I worked there with him for a summer and for a year right after I graduated from college.
I absolutely love how it turned out! And that now we have plenty of room for entertaining! In fact, just as we hit the midpoint of the deployment, several fantastic ladies from the squadron surprised me with a dinner party. Everyone showed up with food and drinks, and we spent a lovely summer evening on the porch together. Looking forward to many more outdoor meals with family and friends!
