This post is waaaay overdue, seeing as how Will started sleeping in his big boy bed about 5 months before Meredith was even born. But there were some odds and ends I've been working on forever that I finally completed, so here it is with all of the finishing touches. Come on in...
I was excited to reuse a lot of old furniture pieces. This bed (new mattress of course) came from my great-grandmother. Mimi recovered the headboard and made the curtains and bed skirt to coordinate with this adorable airplane bedding I found at K-mart of all places.
This shelf came from Michael's and I just sanded and stained it. I love his little dress-up hats and wooden cars that were in his nursery. Will painted the "camo" W in the background at a pottery painting studio. He was so proud of himself.
This bookshelf started off as a gun cabinet built by Great-Grandpa Kiser. We removed the doors, added shelves, and painted it red. The large AF picture to the right is actually a puzzle that Pappy helped us put together.
The dresser came from Nana's house. I painted the knobs red for a touch of whimsy. I also did the airplane paintings on the wall to match his bedding. I think they turned out pretty cute.
One of my favorite things is his rocking airplane. My mom found it at a consignment shop. So fun! Will and Meredith both love to play on it. And that's the grand tour.
Thanks for stopping by!
